What Is ROM

ROM stands for Read Only Memory. It is primary memory. It stores data permanently on computer device. Data written in ROM cannot be edited simply. It is non-volatile memory. Types of ROM are:

  • PROM (Programmable Read Only Memory)
  • EPROM (Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory)
  • EEPROM (Electrically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory)
