1. Chiang Dao’s Cave-Riddled Mountains
It’s easily one of the best places to visit in Thailand and yet, just 72km north of the city, tourists seldom go there. Chiang Dao is a village on a green plain of rice fields and finally the third biggest mountain of the country.
The hills of limestone made of Chiang Dao are full of caves and one can also take a small guided tour to visit those caves.
The most famous cave is Tham Chiang Dao, there is a golden reclining Buddha statue, stalactites, stalagmites, and crystals fill the chamber. Another one is the Chiang Dao Cave which is especially distinguished by its bats; here you have an opportunity to go through the cave with a guide.
There is a lesser number of people visiting Chiang Dao, which is always a plus especially when compared to other attractions in Thailand.
2. The Enigmatic White Temple in Chiang Rai
Wat Rong Khun or what is commonly referred to as the White Temple is an extraordinary temple that you will hardly find in other parts of the world. It is a pure white structure where minuscule fragments of glass and mirrors have been put into the plaster, and that gives it the shining look that one associates with a place of worship in the sunshine. Oh really, it is a wonderful view and the best places to visit in Thailand!
This temple is under construction, but it is credited to the well-known Thai artist Chalermchai Kositpipat. According to the artist, the trajectory for the construction of the entire smart city complex is planned to be completed in 2070. Basically, the art of the temple includes the Thai style architecture and the depiction of Buddhism in Thailand.
3. The Thai Riviera: It has also given a nod to Pranburi & Koh Talu.
This has been the ultimate dream of those who have wanted to own a piece of island somewhere in the tropics and Koh Talu could be as close as it gets. This private island is not available for overnight stay hence it is a day trip tourists’ island located at a short boat from Pranburi.
Koh Talu is one of the best places to visit in Thailand and the most attractive island in the Gulf of Thailand, among many attractive islands there. This is a view opposite to the densely crowded places of the country nestled amidst the blue waters and the corals making it a paradise.
There is also a turtle conservation which makes it possible to assist in setting the baby turtles into seas. I can’t help but be in awe when they wade in the ocean for the first time!
4. The Historical Park of Sukhothai
The Historical Park of Sukhothai is one of the most interesting archeological sites of the area .Sukhothai presents the remains of the ancient Sukhothai kingdom that was founded early in the 13th century.

This historical site used to be the capital of Ancient Sukhothai Kingdom and today it is a place of vestiges and statues like no other. This is among the best tourist destinations for anyone visiting Thailand or just a tourist destination in general.
To me, the park was almost similar to the Angkor Wat in Cambodia though not as large and crowded. However, the accommodation is not the only thing that makes this place so special and exceptional. This is because it is still in use to this present day as a worship center where natives come to pray as well as burn incense.
This World Heritage site is zoned into several areas in order to avoid the negative impacts of human activities. The central zone is the one that contains the most attractions such as the huge statue of the seated Buddha and Wat Mahathat.

Another immensely famous geographical feature is the group of limestone islands of Phang Nga Bay which falls in thailand. But all the same, a considerable number of tourists who visit Thailand cannot afford to miss these beautiful islands.
Some of the most photographed structures in Thailand, famous for being events in many films, are the limestone karsts that rise from the waters. Koh Jum really does deserve the name of ‘secret island’ since it is truly out of the ordinary! Small Island located in the Andaman Sea in Thailand between Krabi and Koh Lanta but it is quite off the beaten track.
It is a sleepy island and has a mixture of Thai people and foreigners in the island of Koh Jum. There are no large hotels and luxurious accommodations such as resorts but there are small hotels or guest houses and bungalows. It means that it is the pet’s turn to travel and be comfortable and relaxed for a couple of days.
One of the leading activities that tourists should consider doing in Koh Jum is Motorcycle hire and rent and explore the island. They are sources of beautiful beaches, the second largest jungle of the world, and the friendly people. The island is also blessed with being one of the sources of the tastiest foods in the Andaman Sea!
Local restaurants serve fresh seafood and some special delicious Thai foods that you cannot afford to miss. All in all, Koh Jum is a perfect spot for having an idea of Thailand and, firstly, island life.
8. The Fishing Village of Ban Bo Dan
Located near Ban Bo Daeng this fishing village is however significantly more developed than the latter.
Further on the other side of the island of Koh Yao is to pay a visit to Ban Bo Dan fisherman village. Indeed, it was not like any other fishing village that I have come across before. The town was constructed directly on the water, with two and three-story buildings of residentials and businesses linked by wooden boardwalks.
Apart from that, the village has something special; a floating football pitch, and it’s not everywhere you get to find one of such. There is still a group of Muslims residing in the town and it has an historic background as well.
9. This one is the Khao Sok – The Unspoiled Jungle.
Thailand has some of the oldest jungle formations in the world and Khao Sok National Park is the brightest gem. It is therefore a highly charged interactive park for any lover of nature.
The park is a huge and veritable realm of equatorial forest, limestone mountains, a plexus of rivers and lakes.
