A vein is a vein that conveys blood back to the heart from various pieces of the body. Consider veins the return courses for blood after it has conveyed oxygen and supplements to different tissues. Not at all like corridors, veins have more slender walls and lower strain since the blood is getting back to the heart. Many veins additionally have one-way valves that keep blood from streaming in reverse. For instance, the veins in your arms and legs assist with returning blood to the heart, while bigger veins like the vena cava take blood from the whole body back to the heart.
